Product Overview
This 2-day class starts off with the Land Nav Primer seminar on Day 1. On day 2 we will spend the day in the woods. We will go over more than just "Land Nav" and it isn't an orienteering class. We will go over the standard Land Navigation topics, you'll learn maps (more than just topos) , you'll learn to use a compass, and pace count. We're also going to delve into GPS technology.
On Day 2, in the woods, we're going to put all of that into practice. We have a full day of navigation excercises to run through using all of the techniques and tools we learn on day 1.
Students will be provided a complete set of map tools and a handout to keep. Loaner Compass's are available. A few GPS units are available to borrow as well. If you want to buy a Compass, we reccomend this one. For hand held GPS, we reccomend this one.
This class will set you up perfect for Day 3 Navigation.
