Product Overview

Dynamic Instructor is a 3-day development class for current and prospective instructors. We’re not teaching you to run a premade curriculum. We’re teaching you to develop a curriculum from the ground up. We’ll discuss ways to optimize your ability to reach students as well as potential students.

The logistics of being an instructor are the magic behind the curtain and are often overlooked in “instructor development” courses in this industry, mostly because they spend an inordinate amount of time running through a multitude of shooting qualifications instead of helping student-instructors learn how to get their teach on. Don’t worry; you’ll get some shooting in. You and your fellow classmates will be developing blocks of instruction and then teaching them to each other, so you’ll get range time under the instruction of your classmates while also under the watchful eyes of the TremDyn staff.

We will focus on developing training objectives, coaching techniques, and adult learning methodology. We will also cover the use of training aids, both in a classroom and range setting, exploring performance-based training vs outcome-based training as well as all the “small things” that we’ve learned the hard way.

This class will work entirely with pistols, but the concepts and principles will apply to longuns and other training types equally as well.

This class will start Friday afternoon and run late. Saturday will be a full day as will Sunday. There will be homework on Friday and Saturday which culminates in a range exercise where the class will be instructing a group of guest students on the final afternoon.

Prerequisite: Any 2-day Pistol class and a desire to be an awesome instructor.
