The idea that a gun range, gun club, etc can be entirely behind the core tenet of the 2nd amendment while enforcing a “Cold Range” is a fallacy.

The purpose of the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is to have an armed populace. A jackboot in a red hat who demands you be unarmed is directly opposite to that belief. I hear you saying right now,” But for new people who don't know what they are doing, it makes sense.” No, it doesn’t. Is that the message you want to tell somebody just starting down the path? That having a loaded gun is too dangerous, and you are best served by being disarmed? I’ve heard that before. It’s the rallying cry of the Civilian Disarmament regime.

The RSO who admonishes gun owners for having a loaded gun might as well wear an ATF hat. Both are serving the same purpose. To make it as uncomfortable as possible for real people to exercise their natural right to defend themselves in the way that they see fit. They are working hard to normalize the idea that carrying a proper means of defending yourself is somehow wrong, and you are not a good person for attempting to do so. Are they killing your dog or burning your home down? No, they are just planting the seeds of acceptance when the gAyTF does those things in their name. These are the same guys that demand to see tax stamps and carry permits. Because they feel smug knowing they have bent the knee and want you to feel smug as you do as well. They are the same ones who called the police because you weren't wearing a mask in your house back in 2020, and they proudly showed you their 9th booster card.

In some ways, they are worse than agents of the state that want you disarmed. They are unpaid volunteers who just want to see a world full of victims. They can't even use the Nuremberg Defense because it’s not their job. It’s their passion.  In that regard, they are just like Everytown, Brady, Moms Demand, Giffords, etc. But what makes them worse is that they are doing it from inside the community. An agent on the inside normalizing a reprehensible behavior. That’s probably not the only reprehensible behavior they exhibit, a deep dive into their hard drives would likely be shocking as well. Certain behaviors are attractive to certain personalities.

I’ve forever carried a loaded gun on me at ranges and events that require a cold range. However, that is the coward's way. Sure, I never disarmed myself because some fuckstain thought he knew better than me, but I also wasn't normalizing being armed. I will do better, we all should.
