Getting quality time to shoot in the dark can be a struggle. Indoor ranges absolutely suck, which is why we don’t teach at them. Outdoor ranges have the limitations of the clock. It doesn’t get dark until late and there are logistical issues with starting a class at 2100. What we’ve done is break up the instructional portion from the practical portion. We will spend a few hours earlier in the day inside the darkened classroom working on techniques with inert pistols and flashlights.
By the time it gets dark, we will have learned and practiced the techniques with numerous dry repetitions and will be ready to maximize our limited time for live fire in the dark.
We will have some loaner inert guns on hand as well as flashlights. Please, if you have your own blue gun/SIRT pistol/etc feel free to bring it. As well as your EDC holster and your flashlight. This class will focus on using a handheld light with your pistol but you are welcome to bring a weapon-mounted light.
