It’s the little things, Intro.
Very rarely does something come from the factory optimized for the dude that's going to use it. While it’s true that a professional is going to use the tool that's in his hand to get the job done, it doesn't mean that it’s not ok to optimize that tool long before it’s needed to do work.
I remember getting my first Safariland 6004 back in the early 2000s and thinking, “This fucking thing goes to my knee” Now, I’m sure their average dude at the R&D team is taller than I am, but as it was designed, it didn't at all meet my needs.

Study Groups: Are they valuable and how to start one.
The idea for a study group had been brewing for a long time. I had been attending training for years here in PA, and I would meet a lot of students in class, and I thought there was a large potential pool of people to continuously get together and refine the skills we had been taught. But putting it together had not been simple for me. Eventually, I started teaching, and I would tell the students, “look at this network right here at the range today; you all should swap numbers and get a training group together.”
The ideal Zero distance for your AR is.....
When talking about zero’s, the reality is that your ability to use the zero is vastly more important than whatever zero option you choose. You should instinctively know your holdovers for various distances and then the second critical part, knowing what range your target is at. This is where most folks fail. The ability to look at a dude and accurately tell the distance is not a skill many shooters excel at. The further away, the less accurate people are at rangefinding and also the more critical it is for us to be accurate in our estimation.
Thoughts on Bug Out Bags 2022
The interwebs certainly has cycles. I remember when I started my youtube channel a decade ago, everybody was eating up Bugout Bags as a topic. I’m not going to lie, the topic of Bugging Out helped my channel a lot in its infancy. I have seen recently a slew of videos and social media posts from some well-known guys in the training industry calling you a retard if you have a Bugout Bag. (I’m paraphrasing, calm down).
Are Standards Just a way of Cheating Ourselves?
Your chosen standard just reinforces your positive image of yourself.
The search for Tactical Animal Chin
I don't know who he is, because he has never talked about himself...
Fucking Presschecks!
No, not the training company, the actual action of taking your gun out of battery.
Pistol Sights and How I choose them.
When I evaluate sights, there are a few things they must do and a few things it would be nice if they did...
Professionalism in shooting (and some football lingo)
There’s a few different types of folks out there carrying guns frequently. I try to keep an internal log of their behaviors and their numbers. Below, I’ll give you my observations.
Dry Practice
Dry-practice probably has the largest ROI (Return On Investment) of any practice that you could possibly do...
Twilight of the Red Dot? All hail the LPVO?
Are we in the era where the Red Dot Optic is falling out of serious use on a rifle?
The Perfect Class.
The perfect rifle class would start with the most important stuff first and constantly validate it against resisting opponents before progressing to the next topic. Instead, because of time and money, it's done backward. It's wrong, but it appears sustainable.
Patreon?
Yes there is a Patreon page. It has a few unique features. All of the levels get early access to content. That means media such as youtube videos as well as the ability to buy things before they are released to the public. Classes have been known to sell out inside Patreon before they ever had a chance to be made public.
Once in awhile there is some exclusive content that never makes it to the public. The infamous Kryptek video that set the internets ablaze is one of those.
Some folks will get some TremDyn stickers. Some levels get a limited edition patch. The M81 Woodland pirate flag patches have never been for sale. They go to patrons only.
Then there are the other two levels which are the ones that you dont often see. The Astartes level is $25 a month and you get 3 tuition-free training days per year to use. It's like getting a discount class on layaway.
At the top is the Warrior Lodge level. $100 per month lets you take as many classes as you want, tuition-free. If you takle more than 2 classes a year, you are making out at this level. However the number is very limited and only opens up if somebody drops out.
